Emma T. Akuffo receives Harvard Medical School’s Dean Award

We’re proud of our very own founder Emma T. Akuffo who recently received Harvard Medical School’s Dean’s Award for her excellent commitment to community service, servitude and excellence. Emma is Ghanaian-born American based in the US. She teaches Anatomy & Physiology, medical simulation and more as a MEDscience teacher at Harvard Medical School. Our founder is indeed passionate about health advocacy, child advocacy and education advocacy. This led to her establishment of two non-profit organizations: Combating Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) and Smart Kids Ghana. She established Combating CSA six years ago and Smart Kids Ghana three months ago, this shows her passion and love for humanity

Harvard Medical School has recognized the contributions of 152 individuals and donated $138,000  to over 100 organizations that serves community. Since 1999, Harvard Medical School has recognized 164 individuals, including 13 Faculty members who were honored with a lifetime Achievement Award and donated hundreds of thousands  to 152 organizations that serve communities. Emma T. Akuffo is no exception, for her establishment of Combating CSA, Combating CSA is aimed at educating children on child sexual abuse through workshops in schools, educating Ghanaian youth on body boundaries and sexual abuse alerts. Smart Kids Ghana is not left out. It is to educate children on technology literacy, critical thinking skills and problem-solving. Emma T. Akuffo is a tireless promoter of her organizations and does not shy away from tough challenges. The brilliant glow of her achievement lights the way to her success.

Success is a clear reflection of the effort, pride and passion with which a person lives. Emma T. Akuffo is well known for her loyalty, dedication, intelligence, leadership skills and diplomacy. It is without hesitation and with much pride that she received this award. This award is going to help her penetrate through the doors of excellence, she won this award because of her outstanding contributions to society.
