Smart Kids Ghana Receives Grant from Enterprise Mobility Foundation for “40 Laptops For Public School Programming” Project.

Aproved Grant!

We are thrilled to announce that Smart Kids Ghana has been awarded a grant from the Enterprise Mobility Foundation. This grant will significantly bolster our efforts to provide quality technology education to students in public schools. The funds will go towards our latest initiative, “40 Laptops For Public School Programming,” aimed at educating 159 students at St. Theresa’s Public School in Kumasi, Ghana.

About Enterprise Mobility Foundation

The Enterprise Mobility Foundation is dedicated to strengthening communities where its team members live and work by supporting a range of charitable causes. These include environmental initiatives, health and human services, education, military support, and disaster relief. The Foundation has contributed more than half a billion dollars to thousands of local nonprofits across the United States, demonstrating its commitment to global and community-focused projects.

The “40 Laptops For Public School Programming” Project

The grant from the Enterprise Mobility Foundation will partially fund our “40 Laptops For Public School Programming” project. This initiative is designed to provide students at St. Theresa’s Public School in Kumasi with the necessary tools and skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Our program focuses on several key areas:

  • Technology Literacy: Teaching students the basics of computer operation and digital tools.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Using technology to enhance students’ ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Health Literacy: Educating students on the importance of health and wellness through technology-driven resources.

Smart Kids Ghana is dedicated to offering these educational opportunities free of charge to public school children, ensuring that all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, have the chance to benefit from a modern, technology-driven curriculum. Smart Kids Ghana is a mobile organization that travels to schools with the donated laptops, bringing the classroom to life wherever it is needed. By being mobile, we ensure that even the most underserved schools have access to quality technology education.

While the donation from the Enterprise Mobility Foundation is a vital contribution, it represents only a small percentage of the total funds needed to meet our project budget. We are actively seeking additional funding to fully realize the goals of this transformative project.

Acknowledgment

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Stephen Akpatsu, a team member at Enterprise and a board member of Smart Kids Ghana, whose efforts made this grant possible. Stephen’s dedication and hard work have been instrumental in securing this support, and we are deeply grateful for his continued commitment to our mission.

Impact and Future Prospects

With the support of the Enterprise Mobility Foundation, we are taking a significant step towards bridging the digital divide in Ghana. The laptops provided through this project will be instrumental in transforming the educational experiences of 159 students, equipping them with the skills needed for future success.

We are grateful for the Enterprise Mobility Foundation’s commitment to our mission and their belief in the potential of our students. This grant is not just an investment in technology but an investment in the future leaders of Ghana.

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey to empower the next generation through technology education.
