SmartKids Ghana proudly welcomes Saketh, an 11th grader at Marquette High School, as one of our dedicated Zoom teachers.
Saketh brings valuable teaching experience online, for a business competition, he designed and led a financial literacy workshop for students covering essential topics such as saving, budgeting, and distinguishing between needs and wants. Some sessions were held on Zoom, while others took place in his school library. Through this experience, Saketh not only gained confidence in public speaking but also learned how to keep students engaged in different learning environments.
When asked why he wanted to join SmartKids Ghana, Saketh shared that he believes every student deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background. He has seen the impact that education can have on students from less affluent communities, and he is passionate about helping to bridge the gap and make learning more accessible, equal, and empowering.
Beyond teaching, Saketh is also stepping up as a Student Ambassador, taking on the $250 fundraising challenge. These funds directly support essential needs like transportation, logistics, and classroom resources for scholars. By embracing this responsibility, Saketh is helping ensure that Ghanaian scholars have the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
We are thrilled to have Saketh as part of the SmartKids Ghana team, and we look forward to seeing the impact he will make as both a teacher and an ambassador for change.
