SmartKids Ghana is proud to welcome back Sarah Lai, a Grade 11 student from Bishop Fenwick High School, as a returning Zoom teacher in our Virtual Teaching Program. Having taught with SmartKids Ghana during last year’s Zoom teaching sessions, Sarah continues to exemplify dedication, consistency, and a deep commitment to educational service.

Sarah’s return to the program reflects both the impact she made previously and her passion for using education as a tool for empowerment. During her previous teaching sessions, she demonstrated strong engagement with students, thoughtful lesson delivery, and a genuine care for the learning experience of each scholar. Her ability to connect with students in a virtual setting made her an invaluable part of the teaching team.

As an experienced Zoom teacher, Sarah brings confidence and familiarity with virtual instruction, allowing her to focus not just on content delivery but also on building meaningful connections with students. Her prior involvement has given her insight into the needs of learners in underserved communities and the importance of patience, adaptability, and encouragement in the learning process.

Beyond her teaching skills, Sarah represents the spirit of student leadership that SmartKids Ghana values. As an eleventh-grade student balancing academics with service, she continues to show that young people can play a powerful role in shaping educational access and opportunity on a global scale.

Sarah’s continued commitment to SmartKids Ghana highlights the strength of our community of returning educators or students who choose to come back not because they are required to, but because they believe in the mission and the scholars we serve.
