As I reflect on the incredible individuals who continue to move the mission of SmartKids Ghana forward, one name that stands out this month is Matthew Sserebe.

Matthew has truly been exceptional, not just in what he has done, but in how he has shown up every single time. From the very beginning, he demonstrated a level of commitment and passion that is both inspiring and rare.

He successfully completed his fundraising early, showing dedication, discipline, and a strong belief in the mission of empowering young learners. But what makes Matthew’s journey even more remarkable is that he did not stop there.

Week after week, he has been consistent in teaching, showing up for his scholars, guiding them, and making sure they are learning and growing. His presence in the classroom is impactful, and his dedication has not gone unnoticed.

What I admire most about Matthew is his willingness to give, not just his time, but his energy, his patience, and his heart. Teaching is not always easy, especially across screens and time zones, but Matthew has handled it with excellence and commitment.

He represents what the SmartKids Ghana ambassador program is all about leadership, service, and impact.
