Meet Amari Scott: Inspiring Scholars Through Tutoring and Technology

SmartKids Ghana is excited to welcome Amari Scott, a 12th grader at Central Jersey College Prep Charter School, as one of our Zoom teachers.

Amari already has an impressive background in tutoring. He has successfully helped younger students prepare for the SAT, guiding them to achieve higher scores through his support and strategies. His commitment to helping others succeed academically has made a real impact in her school community.

Amari also brings valuable virtual teaching experience. During the Covid-19 pandemic, his Research class adapted to presenting and teaching over Zoom, which gave him first-hand knowledge of how to communicate effectively, keep students engaged, and share information in an online classroom setting.

In addition to teaching, Amari took on the Student Ambassador fundraising challenge and he did tremendously well, raising more than the expected $250 goal. His efforts directly support transportation, logistics, and classroom resources for SmartKids Ghana scholars, making education more accessible and impactful.

By joining SmartKids Ghana, Amari is excited to continue using his teaching skills to empower scholars in Ghana with access to quality education. As he shares his knowledge and experiences, Amari is not only supporting students academically but also helping to build bridges across cultures.

We are proud to have Amari on the SmartKids Ghana team and celebrate the incredible contributions she is already making in the lives of our scholars.
