Smart Kids Ghana invites you to join our Virtual Zoom Teaching Program — a 6-week teaching experience designed to deliver engaging education to children in undeserved communities in Ghana all from the comfort of your home.
We ask zoom teachers volunteers to support our mission with a Mandatory fundraising goal of $300, contributing to our team goal of $4,500.

Program Details
The 6 Lessons You Will Teach
Over 6 weekends, you’ll teach and lead lessons with students in Ghana.
Each lesson is already developed and provided to you through orientation and guided planning.
Lesson 1: Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
Lesson 2: Technology Literacy
Lesson 3: Health Literacy
Lesson 4: English Literacy & Culture
Lesson 5: Entrepreneurship Skills
Lesson 6: Final Day Community/Presentation Project with Certificate Ceremony

Where Your Support Goes:
Your contributions directly fund essential infrastructure that powers our virtual classrooms, including:
Total Operational Budget Monthly $1,350 — Covers daily program logistics, supplies, and tech support.
A breakdown:
Monthly Starlink Subscription $350 — Includes device purchase, installation at new school, and high-speed data access.
Monthly Generator Fuel $300 — Ensures reliable power during Zoom sessions.
Monthly Staff Salaries $700 — Supports dedicated local teachers and coordinators on the ground.

The SmartKids Ghana Zoom Teaching Program is a virtual teaching initiative that connects passionate volunteers from around the world with scholars in Ghana. Through live Zoom sessions, volunteers support scholars in areas such as literacy, STEM, and personal development.
Anyone with a strong passion for teaching, mentoring, and making a positive impact is welcome to apply. Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
Subjects may include English Literacy, Technology Literacy, Critical Thinking & Problem-solving, and Health Literacy.
Zoom teachers typically commit to 1–2 hours every Saturday. Teaching schedules are flexible and arranged in advance to accommodate different time zones.
The Zoom Teaching Program is a paid opportunity for our Student Ambassadors. Participation is supported through a structured fundraising commitment, where ambassadors raise funds to directly support and sustain the Zoom Teaching Program. This model empowers students to develop leadership, fundraising, and project management skills while earning support for their teaching role and making a meaningful global impact.
Yes. All Zoom teachers receive orientation, teaching guidelines, and access to structured lesson plans and resources. Ongoing support is also provided by the SmartKids Ghana team.
No. All Zoom teaching sessions are conducted in English, so fluency in local languages is not required.
You will need a stable internet connection, a laptop or tablet, a Zoom-enabled device, and a quiet teaching environment. Headphones are recommended for better audio quality.
Yes. Volunteers who successfully complete the program receive recommendation letters based on performance and commitment.
