We are looking for a responsible, organized, and technology-oriented intern to support the successful delivery of our on-ground Zoom teaching programs.
The intern will work closely with the Project Coordinator, Zoom Teaching Coordinator, teachers, ambassadors, and technical team to ensure that each on-ground teaching session is properly prepared, coordinated, documented, and executed.
Position Details

- Reports To: Zoom Teaching Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Ground Zoom Program Coordination
The intern will help ensure that SmartKids Ghana’s on-ground Zoom teaching programs run smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the coordination of Zoom teaching sessions at partner schools and program locations.
- Helping prepare scholars, teachers, coordinators, and equipment before each session.
- Assisting with scholar registration, seating, grouping, and general organization where required.
- Working with the Zoom Teaching Coordinator to ensure that the on-ground team is prepared for each session.
- Monitoring the session and immediately communicating any challenges that may affect program delivery.
- Helping ensure that SmartKids Ghana’s program procedures and schedules are followed.
2. Technical Support & Equipment Setup
The intern will serve as an important on-ground technical support person for Zoom teaching programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and connecting laptops before classes.
- Preparing laptops and devices for scholars and teachers.
- Connecting chargers, headphones, microphones, cameras, and other necessary equipment.
- Assisting with internet/Wi-Fi connections and basic connectivity issues.
- Helping scholars and teachers resolve basic technical problems during sessions.
- Troubleshooting issues with laptops and other program devices.
- Working with the SmartKids Ghana technical team to resolve more complex technical challenges.
- Helping the team improve the speed and efficiency of technical setup.
- Ensuring laptops and other equipment are properly organized and cared for after each program.
3. Coordination With the Zoom Teaching Team
The intern will work closely with the Zoom Teaching Coordinator to ensure that the on-ground component of the program supports the online teaching team.
This includes:
- Communicating with the Zoom Teaching Coordinator before and during sessions.
- Confirming that teachers and scholars are ready for classes.
- Communicating technical or operational challenges quickly.
- Supporting the implementation of instructions from the Zoom Teaching Coordinator.
- Providing feedback from the on-ground team to improve future sessions.
4. Program Monitoring & Reporting
The intern will help SmartKids Ghana maintain accurate information about what happens during on-ground programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Recording attendance and relevant program information.
- Documenting technical and operational challenges.
- Providing updates on the progress of on-ground sessions.
- Preparing brief reports after programs.
- Reporting challenges, successes, and areas requiring follow-up.
- Sharing important information with the Project Coordinator and Zoom Teaching Coordinator.
- Supporting the collection of photos and other approved documentation from program activities.
5. General Program Support
The intern may also:
- Assist with preparation before program activities.
- Support team members with on-ground program logistics.
- Help organize SmartKids Ghana program materials and equipment.
- Assist with special educational activities and events.
- Carry out other reasonable duties related to the successful implementation of SmartKids Ghana programs.

Educational Background
Applicants may be studying or have completed studies in areas such as:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Education
- Business Administration
- Project Management
- Communications
- Engineering
- or another related field.
Previous experience is helpful but not required. What matters most is responsibility, willingness to learn, technical ability, and a strong work ethic.
