At SmartKids Ghana, we are fortunate to work with young leaders who demonstrate that age is no barrier to making a meaningful difference. One such individual is Nour Abdelnaeem, a passionate educator, mentor, and student who is committed to helping young learners reach their full potential.
Nour is currently a 9th-grade student at Al-Noor Academy. Despite balancing her own academic responsibilities as a high school student, she has already built an impressive foundation in teaching and mentorship through her dedication to serving others.
For the past year, Nour has been tutoring students through the Sofiane Institute, where she provides personalized one-on-one instruction tailored to each learner’s needs. She currently teaches two students, meeting with each of them four times a week. During these sessions, she teaches Arabic, Quran studies, grammar, and other subjects while helping her students strengthen areas where they need additional academic support.
This consistent commitment has allowed Nour to build strong relationships with her students and gain valuable experience in creating engaging and effective learning environments. Her.teaching approach focuses on understanding each student’s individual learning style and providing encouragement that helps them grow in confidence and ability.
In addition to her work with the Sofiane Institute, Nour has gained hands-on experience through in-person tutoring in English and Mathematics. These opportunities have further strengthened her communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills while deepening her passion for education.
For Nour, teaching is about more than helping students improve academically. It is about empowering young people to believe in themselves and discover what they are capable of achieving. She understands that education can open doors, create opportunities, and inspire lasting change.
When asked why she wanted to become a Zoom Teacher with SmartKids Ghana, Nour shared her enthusiasm for both serving others and growing as a leader.
“I want to be a Zoom Teacher with SmartKids Ghana because it’s a program that creates benefits for everyone involved. I have the opportunity to help teach and support students while also learning valuable leadership skills myself.”
Her response reflects the spirit of SmartKids Ghana’s volunteer program. While scholars gain access to quality educational support and mentorship, volunteers also develop important skills that prepare them to become future leaders and changemakers in their communities.
Nour’s willingness to dedicate her time, energy, and talents to supporting students demonstrates a level of commitment that is truly inspiring. Through every tutoring session and every interaction with learners, she continues to make a positive impact while serving as a role model for her peers.
At SmartKids Ghana, we believe that meaningful change happens when passionate individuals come together to invest in the next generation. Volunteers like Nour embody this belief through their dedication to education and service.
We are proud to welcome Nour Abdelnaeem to the SmartKids Ghana family and look forward to the impact she will make as a Zoom Teacher. Her passion for learning, commitment to helping others, and desire to grow as a leader will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the scholars she teaches.
Thank you, Nour, for choosing to be part of our mission and for helping us create brighter futures through education.
