We’re so excited to welcome Lily Martel, an 11th grader at Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School, to the SmartKids Ghana family.
Lily is stepping into her role as both a Student Ambassador and a Curriculum Contributor, and she’s already taking on an amazing challenge: fundraising $1,000 to support lesson implementation for our scholars in Ghana.
As a curriculum contributor, Lily helps design fun, creative, and meaningful lessons that make learning come alive. She understands that education is not just about textbooks, it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and giving children the tools they need to succeed in the future.
But Lily didn’t stop there. She decided to go even further by fundraising to make sure these lessons can actually reach scholars. Her goal of $1,000 will provide the resources and support needed for scholars to fully take part in classes, both virtually and in person.
What makes Lily so special is her heart for service and her belief in the power of education. She’s not only creating lessons but also inviting her community to be part of something bigger to give children in Ghana the chance to dream bigger and achieve more.
We’re incredibly proud to have Lily Martel as part of the SmartKids Ghana family. Her work reminds us that when young people step up, they can truly change lives.
