At SmartKids Ghana, we believe that education must go beyond the classroom, it must prepare young minds to think boldly, create solutions, and build futures of their own making.
Last Saturday’s Zoom teaching session was a powerful reflection of this vision as our scholars explored the topic: “Starting a Small Business” under our Entrepreneurship Skills module.
The session was led by our dedicated Zoom teachers Eva, Matthew, Mary, and Julie, who each played an incredible role in bringing the lesson to life. Through their guidance, patience, and energy, the scholars were introduced to the foundational ideas of entrepreneurship in a way that was practical, engaging, and inspiring.
The lesson focused on helping students understand what it means to start small but think big. From identifying simple business ideas in their everyday environment to understanding basic steps like planning, pricing, and serving customers, the session encouraged students to see opportunity where they are.
What stood out most was the enthusiasm from both teachers and scholars. Our Zoom teachers did not simply deliver content, they created space for interaction, encouraged questions, and helped scholars think creatively about how they could turn ideas into action. Eva, Matthew, Mary, and Julie each brought their own teaching styles, but together they delivered a unified and impactful learning experience.
By the end of the session, scholars were not only more informed about entrepreneurship, they were inspired. Inspired to think differently. Inspired to believe that even small ideas can grow into something meaningful. And most importantly, inspired to see themselves as capable of creating change in their own communities.
We are deeply grateful to our Zoom teachers for their commitment and excellence. Your consistency, preparation, and passion continue to shape meaningful learning experiences for our scholars every week.
Thank you, Eva, Matthew, Mary, and Julie, for reminding us that when young people are given the right guidance, they don’t just learn, they begin to build.
